Top 20 Basic iPhone Tricks

  Have you ever wanted to be able to save time whilst scrolling through the web? This article is what you want.

  1) This is a very basic trick, what happens is if you are on safari and you want to click on a link, HOLD IT, what will come up is a little box that will give you the option to: Open, Open in New Page, Add to Reading List, Copy or Cancel. It also shows you the URL.

  2) Have you ever been typing a word and a little icon comes up with a correction? Well this is a shortcut you will like! Instead of tapping the little 'x' at the end of the word click an where on your screen and it will go.

  3) It happens all the time, your at the bottom of a web page and you want to get back to the top and it takes forever, it's so annoying. Simply, click the top bar where the time is displayed and it will scroll back to the top for you. This also works with applications such as: Conacts, Notes ect.

  4) Another Safari trick is when your typing in a URL and you are getting read to put .net .com .co.uk and you can't get if you hold down the .com button it will give you a list of website endings.

  5) What was that? You want another safari URL writing trick? Coming right up! When typing you don't have to put .com in the address box all you do is put in (for example) teksocial and http://www.teksocial.com will load.

  6) OMG! That was so funny! I have totally got to take a screen shot of that conversation and upload it to FaceBook, oh wait, how do you take a screen shot. I'll tell you! Simply hold the home button and then press the sleep button and when your screen flashes white your screen will have been saved to your camera roll.

  7) Wow, that's a good picture, I must save that to me camera roll. Now then all I have to do is press the picture and hold my finger down and the option to save the image will come up.

  8) After a while it gets boring to click @123 to select . all you have to do is press the space bar twice.

  9) Do you need to speak to your business partner in French? Do you no how to get and asterisk above your e? All you do is hold down the letter and a bunch of options will come up.

  10) All though it is easy to scroll through your screens a neat little trick is to press left or right above your dock. Cool eh?

  11) Move your applications. Simply hold down an app and it will give you the option to move and delete

  12) Hey Josh, how did you make that folder? All I did was move one app on to the other app and it made it. 

  13) Want to focus one one piece of text in a web page and don't want to look at any ads? Simply tap and hold the text and it will show you that one piece of text.

  14) I want to come back to this site soon, all I have to do is press the little arrow coming out of the box and press add bookmark. Yay!

  15) Do you need a simple way to cut down battery life. Go to Settings>Brightness>Set it to low.

  16) How to reset your iPhone. Hold the Home Button and Lock Button at the same time the screen will go off. Keep holding until screen comes back on.

  17) Holding the @123 button and swipe towards the punctuation you wish to select and leg go.

  18) This is kind of pointless to put because almost all people know this. But if you turn your device 90 degrees your keyboard should rotate and be bigger.

  19) There is no need to remember a phone number in safari when you can just click it and you mobile will call it straight away.

  20) How do you forget all the words that you often use? Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Keyboard Dictionary. Bang all your words are forgotten!
