Mac App Overview: iStat Menus

If you're like me, you like to monitor what your computer is up do behind the scenes. This includes monitoring your CPU usages, memory usage, among other things. In this video, I give a closer look at one of my favorite Mac OS X utilities, iStat Menus.

The main thing I love about this app is the fact that it's never in the way. The application nests itself in the menubar, which means that it doesn't take up screen real estate. This is especially useful for users with smaller displays, such as a MacBook Air. This information also isn't there unless you want it to be. The little menus will always be in the menubar, but the additional information won't show up unless it's clicked. This is also a huge advantage to those with smaller displays. Another great feature of this app is that everything is in real time. Everything rom the changes in the information to the way it's presented gets updated on the fly. There's no need to ever quit the application at any time.

Overall, this is a great app that I can no longer be without on my computer. The app can be purchased from Bjango's website for $16, which I have to say is worth it. Be sure to check me out on YouTube and Twitter for tutorials, unboxings, and much more!
