Why I'm Switching Back to Windows
Most people say that once you go Mac, you don't go back. This was not the case for me, however. After two years of using OS X, I've decided that I belong in Windows World. In this video, I give the main reasons why I made the switch back.
First off, Viruses on OS X are ridiculous. I simply couldn't take them anymore. The one day I decide not to run the virus scan, I get hit. The second reason is because of gestures. Apple really had a swing and a miss when they decided to implement gestures into their OS. Gestures complicate using a computer. I prefer Windows because nothing has changed since the 90's, which makes for a great, un-complicated experience.
Moving on, my third reason is because of app quality. On OS X, every app looks the same; boring and clunky. Why use an app like that. Every Windows app is carefully designed, unlike OS X. Even Apple's own applications lack a functional, good looking user interface. Finally, I missed the serial keys and activation. Why doesn't Apple include this in their OS? I love entering the serial keys and needing that activation. I love the feeling that I get after this process. I really feel that the OS is mine.
Since I have switched back to Windows, this means that I will no longer be producing hackintosh videos. I will instead do an occasional Windows application review. What do you guys think of this decision? Let me know on YouTube and Twitter.
If this article is any indication, it shows that the Windows 8 Consumer Preview has finally got some traction and is now an updated compeitor to the Mac operating system. Windows 7 was a good chance to have Apple put more work into their own development cycle. Just my thoughts from a Technology pundit, kind of.
