Out of the box, the leather backs have a very nice feel to them. While they do add some additional thickness to your phone, they still manage to feel great in your hand. They are also very easy to apply, as there's no air bubbles to worry about. So far, the back hasn't interfered with the camera at all, and the phone still feels nice and thin.
