Review: Mobee Magic Bar

In this video, I give my full review of the Magic Bar from Mobee. The Magic Bar is an inductive charging solution for not only your Apple bluetooth keyboard, but also the Magic Trackpad. This is great because you will finally be able to say goodbye to those old school AA batteries. Before going on, I would like to thank Mobee for sponsoring this product for review.

The Magic Bar is the best charging solution that I've seen for the Apple Keyboard. The all aluminum design is simplistic, yet looks great on your desk. Setup couldn't be simpler; you plug the charger into an available USB port, screw the battery into the keyboard, and you're good to go!

In the time that I've had this product, I can conclude that the battery life is great! On a standard charge, which is completed overnight, the battery typically lasted anywhere from two to three weeks. Keep in mind that this is with pretty heavy usage at times. With pairing this keyboard to my iPad for taking notes in class,  on top of my everyday computer usage, this battery gets used a good amount.

Overall, the Magic Bar is very useful. It's great to not have to worry about changing batteries. Once I see the keyboard is getting low, I can simply slide the keyboard into the base station and stop worrying about losing power. This product sells for about $60, which is a little steep, but will pay for itself after not having to buy those AA batteries. An extra battery pack can also be purchased for $30, which would be great for the Magic Trackpad.

What do you think of the Magic Bar? Be sure to let me know on YouTube and Twitter.
