Wearable Technology

Nowadays people always carry tech products wherever they go. It's probably a smartphone, a camera or even a laptop. Some new products are coming with a new objective. Wearable gadgets are coming faster and faster. Google is developing the Glasses, it's basically a glass with a camera.

You'll be able to check the weather, use maps, take photos and record videos, etc. You can watch a video that shows how it works:

The concept is pretty good, how amazing is the fact that you can use a gadget without touching anything? You just need to talk. It's all you need to do. This project is just a prototype, but it's a preview of the way that tech world is going on.

Other cool product is the Jawbone UP. It's a wristband that shows you status about your average day: How many hours you slept and details about that, how many steps you moved, how many calories you've burnt and other kind healthy stats. You can sync all these stats with you iPhone via the official iOS app. The Fuel band by Nike is a similar wristband, with some little differences. Personally, I think that the Jawbone UP is better than the Fuel band.

I used to disagree with some people opinion about smartwatches, I judged useless. I considered awkward using a touch screen display in my wrist. The main function of a watch is to show a clock, just it. But the things are changing… Some brands, like Sony and Motorola introduced this idea.

A watch that you can see notifications of Facebook and Twitter, synced with your smartphone via bluetooth. Apple is trying to do the same thing. They saw a lot of users using an iPod nano as a watch, and the newest version of this iPod has a widescreen display. I think they changed the size of the display because they're planning something new. Maybe an Apple smartwatch. There are a ton of rumors about it out there.

Wearable gadgets is a trend. Using technology in favor of a better life and simplicity is the new way that big brands found to get involved with their public.
