Learn Japanese Easily with Mind Snacks iPhone App
There are some really great apps out there for learning different languages, especially French and Spanish. But there is a shocking lack of apps available for Japanese, and that was a problem when I found out I would be spending time there later this year. I am always on the go, so finding a quick way to pick up some conversational and written Japanese are critical.
Someone recommended MindSnacks, and I am really glad they did. Not only has it helped me to prepare for my trip much more thoroughly than I had been expecting, but it was fun getting there.
How It Works
MindSnacks takes more than 800 words and phrases and teaches them to you through fun, educational mini games. All clips are done by native speakers for proper context and punctuation, and hand illustrated images make up a separate library to further your skills. Plus, you can choose between Kana, Kanji and Romanji mode.
Conclusion
Technically, this is a free app, but only the first lesson. You do have to pay for the rest of the lessons, but they are cheap and well worth it. Make sure to check out the other MindSnacks apps that help you learn Italian, Spanish, German, French and Chinese.
