Crossword Light: Free Puzzles on Your Mac (Review)
Crossword Light is a nice free puzzle game for your Mac. Train your brains with daily 40 brand new crossword puzzles (they claim to have "nearly unlimited" collection if you buy the full version which costs $19.99).

The app will also provide hints when you are stuck (which is good because users report the puzzles to be quite difficult). Some also advise against the paid option but with the free one you risk nothing!
