Chrome Apps Jolidrive Thoughts (Video Included)

The application we are going to look at today is called “Jolidrive”. I won’t lie when trying to make a script for this application I couldn’t think of a single thing positive to say. So in this video I decided to do a live approach of this application to show you what I meant about how it was hard to talk about. But don’t be discouraged; this article still has a mouthful to say about the video and the application itself, so keep on reading if you’re interested in what this application is all about.

First of all, this application is unique in it’s own way. It’s both a social media and cloud management system. However I mean management in viewing latest news feeds or posts from other users. This application doesn’t allow for you to upload or to write on your wall or nothing. The point of this application is more or less  is watch but not to speak. I guess if you’re in a rush and you wanted to know if your friends are doing something crazy in the next minute or if you wanted to view the news only it wouldn’t be a bad thing. However I don’t think a lot of people would have a use for this application if this was the case.

If people don’t have a use for this application why am I writing this? I will tell you why, this is to show you that not all applications are good. However I will link you to some good management applications that can help you with both reading and writing capabilities. I do this because I am one of those people who likes to have full on control  in a program so that I don’t have to continue logging back into different websites for each social media service. So what other applications are out there for you? If you want to manage your twitter and facebook, tweet deck might be right for you.  Tweet deck is available for both Macintosh and windows and only requires you to install Adobe Air with it to run it.

Another popular and trending Social media management application is called hootsuite.

This application although bad is an example of what a good idea could be, but didn’t make the finish. There are more applications out there for management purposes and more likely to catch your attention. Thank you for taking the time to read and watch Chrome Apps.
