5 Exceptional Photoshop UI Kits

If you go to apple.com, you'll see all of their devices with beautiful displays featured all over the site.  You might guess that they have the phones and equipment to take these high-res pictures, but none of them are actually from real pictures.

In fact, no one is actually taking pictures of their apps on iphones, ipads, or any other device.  They're using UI kits and dropping in the images they want displayed  pristinely on the screen.  The good news is that you can access these graphics too and add beautiful images of your app or site displayed on any device just like the pros.

Here are 5 different UI kits that you can use create professional displays of your app/website:

1.  iPhone GUI Kit

The iPhone GUI PSD by teehan+lax is perfect.  It gives you all of the components you need and the images could not be sharper.

Inside the PSD, you'll find every single screen and icon you need in iOS6 for your mockup as well as a sharp image of the iphone 5, reflection included.

2. iPad GUI Kit

From the same people that made the above iPhone kit, comes the iPad GUI kit.  The kit is equally impressive and perfect down to the last detail.  If you need to display your app or website on an ipad, this kit makes that easy.

3. Google Chrome UI Kit

Maybe you don't want to include the whole device.  If you just want to show off your web-app, then you may be better off keeping it in a browser UI than on an iPhone or iPad.

If so, try out this Google Chrome UI Kit.

The kit is well organized, easy to use, and comprehensive.  The only elements missing are the lock icon and green "https://" for secure sites.  You can find these online yourself, but it they would have been nice additions to the kit.

4. Macbook Pro

This UI kit for the Macbook Pro with Retina Display was recenlty released by Premium Pixel.

It's a great option for displaying a website or web-app.  As usual, the UI kit is fully customizable from the screen to the glare going across it.

5. iOS 7

Want to get ready for the upcoming iOS 7 release?  The makers of the first two UI kits here already have a UI kit available for download for iOS 7.  It's worth noting that the kit is based on the first beta version of iOS 7, so elements are bound to change before release.  That being said, you'll have a head start in preparation and the overall look likely won't change much more from now until fall when it comes out.

Adding pictures of your work being used on various devices could be a real challenge for the uninformed designer, but with the crisp, professional UI kits, you should have no problem adding beautiful images of your sites/apps to your site.
