Most Expensive IPhone Cases

If you go into any electronics or wireless store, most phone cases you'll see will cost around $20, with the highest prices touching about $80. But some people just can't get enough glamour. We thought that an iPhone case costing $80 dollars, such as the LifeProof (waterproof, shockproof, scratchproof) case was extremely expensive, running almost half the price of the newest iPhone model. We were dead wrong.

The cases below fetch prices that range from a bit over $200 to over $300,000. Are they worth it? Maybe to someone who has that kind of cash to burn, but even then, isn’t it just an iPhone case? On the other hand, some serious craftsmanship has gone into some of these cases, and they do look gorgeous. Take a look, and judge for yourself.

Louis Vuitton Leather Sleeves

Louis Vuitton Leather Sleeves

Louis Vuitton, the famed fashion brand, has released many different styles of leather sleeves for holding iPhones. The variants range from $315 to over $1000. They come in various colors and patterns, some costing more than others.

Cartoon You Case

This seller on Etsy.com sells a custom case for $250. The process includes the buyer sending her a picture of herself, which she then creates a cartoon of. This cartoon, along with a message of your choice, and a background color of your choice are printed onto an iPhone case. This is one of the most fantastic personalized cases we have seen, and would make an extremely sweet present for a loved one.

Dolce & Gabbana Case

The Dolce & Gabbana case is quite flashy. It consists of a black leather holder for the case, a silver colored pouch on the black leather that opens with a zipper, and then finally a gold colored chain and key chain that connect to the leather. It will definitely turn some heads, and be a fantastic case for anyone who is trying to attract attention. The case retails at $595, which compared to some of the next few cases is actually quite a bargain.

Miansai

Louis Vuitton Leather Sleeves

Miansai, a jewelry and accessory company, sells a solid 14k gold iPhone case. Available in both yellow and rose gold, the case is simple but still very flashy. It may not turn as many heads as the Dolce & Gabbana case, but instead strives for a more understated fashion. The case will set you back $10,000 and is made to order.

Case-Mate Diamond Case

Now we start to head into extremely pricey territory, mostly because of the presence of diamonds. This case by Case-Mate will cost you $20,000 and includes 3.2 carats of diamonds. The case spaces out the diamonds very nicely and results in one of the least flashy of the diamond cases.

GnG's Golden Delicious

GnG's Golden Delicious

The Golden Delicious case by GnG is extremely flashy, weighing in with 140 grams of 18k gold, and adorned with 600 diamonds. The case is engraved with the Oscar Wilde quote, “I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.” The case, when it was auctioned, fetched a price of $108,000. Though a huge price tag, it was no match for our clear winner…

Anita Mai TAN Dragon Case

This case by Anita Mai TAN is going to cost you $880,000. How many Bentleys would that buy? But still, it does pack quite a punch. The case, in the shape of a dragon, contains 2200 various colored and colorless diamonds, all set in 18k gold. The case is very large, and probably wouldn’t easily fit in your pocket, but we're sure its point of it is not practicality. This is the most expensive iPhone case, and with that many gems, you should be more concerned about insuring your case than your phone!

These are pretty nice, but a little outrageous. I use the iBillfold2 credit card case with their slim iPhone sized leather wallet and find that this is the best combination of case / wallet I have ever found.
