What is Cloud Telephony

The  "cloud" is a broad term that covers almost any service that is hosted online. The beauty of the cloud is that you can access the information and services that are hosted on cloud servers from anywhere as long as you have a modern device with an Internet connection.

Cloud telephony takes traditional telephone services and moves them online. Instead of needing an expensive PBX system in your office to handle your telephony needs, you use Voice over IP technology to manage your telephone calls.

Skype is a very simple example of cloud telephony, and there are many companies that offer more powerful cloud telephony systems for businesses, with all of the features that you have come to expect from your business PBX.

Thanks to cloud telephony services you can allow yourself to be reached on multiple devices, quickly and easily add extra users to your system, handle conference calls, and even configure video calling on certain systems. What's more, VoIP calling costs significantly less than traditional landline calls. Cloud telephony really is the future.
