Deliver your Content Fresh with Dlvr.it

This post was originally posted on BlogPressive.com for Impressive Blogging - http://www.blogpressive.com/2010/08/18/deliver-your-content-fresh/

Dlvr.it is a great service for bloggers. Utilising your blogs RSS feed, Dlvr.it delivers your content to your Twitter profile, Facebook page or profile, Linkedin Profile and more including Tumblr, Google Buzz and Myspace. You may be thinking, "Why would I need Dlvr.it? I'm pretty sure most of my online followers are subscribed to my RSS feed and they are alerted every time I submit a new post and registering my blog for this will make me look like a spammer to anyone new" That may be the case, but are you defiantly sure ALL your followers are subscribed?

Stats, Stats, Stats

Dlvr.it (or Deliver it) is one packed web utility. It serves as a blog RSS feeder to your social profiles, as listed in the introduction, as well as a regular status updating suite, like TweetDeck, but you can't see what you're friends are saying, which is a negative, although I don't think many people would use it that way. Not only does it connect with your social profiles but it also packs in stats so you can see at a glance of how many connections you have else where, as well as how many clicks are being received and what posts are popular.

URL Shortener too?

Not only does Dlvr.it pack social networking updates and a stats program, it also uses the Dlvr.it url shortening service, which isn't a public url shortener to spread your content out to the web. If you wish, you can also choose to use your own domain, which you may have bought when setting up your own website or you can also use a bit.ly account, if you prefer.

Conclusion

Dlvr.it is a great service for bloggers to update their readers who don't want to use a RSS reader (like me) but who are always connected to social networks when they are on the web. Functionality and more networks could be added in the future but the service I'm receiving while it is free is great! I must also add that the service is in beta so changes could happen at any time and some added extras could be surprising!

Comment Discussion

How do you alert your readers to your new blog post or do you trust your RSS readers to spread the word for you? Are you willing to give Dlvr.it a try? Let me know your opinions and answers in the comments. (Disclaimer: I did not and will not get paid for writing this review post)

How to Find Blogging Ideas

Hello all! If you are reading this you are obviously wanting to be a blogger? Well if you don't want to be a blogger then I think you clicked the wrong blog or are reading the wrong one, but the likeliness of that happening was probably slim to none right?

Let's Get Down to The Point.

Well anyways, to get back on topic, I'm sure you are here to try to figure out blogging ideas. Well I am here to help you out with that. The main resource that I can come up with for you to gather up different ideas for blogging is one place and we all were born with it, your brain. Yes, I know that that you have brain cramps sometimes and you are capable of coming up with ideas but you just can't, It happens to all of us. If you are still having trouble and you can't figure anything out and you are still very interested in being a blogger then try getting ideas off other bloggers. See what they write about and try to develop something of your own.

Conclusion.

Thank you for reading this post. This is actually my first blog on Social Blog and I thank David Di Franco for giving me the opportunity to be able to do this and share ideas and facts with you all. If you will, please keep looking for different blogs from me because many will be coming soon. Thank You.

Blogging is back!

Blogging is back!, of course twitter is still very popular but more and more people have started blogging or starting there own website. Seeing as the price of hosting your own site has come down and there are many free sites that you can start a blog on such as blogger, wordpress etc. I think why blogging has become more and more popular is because people are starting to want to express there own opinion on things, whether it be tech, software, politics or almost anything people want to get there opinion out there. or maybe people just want to inform people or show people there hobbies e.g cooking, tech, reading etc etc.
Its the same as podcasting more and more people are starting there own podcasts again to spread there opinion and inform about anything. Also blogs and podcasts can be done from a bedroom to a full blown studio but its the content that matters.

Opitions for Blogging

Blogging is seen as the most common thing on the internet today. Blogs can range from personal to news, and can range in categories. But, what if you want to start your own blog, and don't know where to begin. Well, as a blogger myself, I have 2 choices for you.

Wordpress is commonly seen on the internet, and it is used mostly for its ease of use, and it's huge range of plugins and themes, which allow you to control and design how your blog performs to your internet audience. Wordpress 2.8 was released last week. See the video below to see if Wordpress would help you start your blog.

Squarespace is another option, and if you are a social blogger with thecreativeone.tv, you are already using it! Squarespace makes it very easy, not only to make blogs, but a full website. The best thing about Squarespace is that you don't even need to know html or css, which many people can be scared of. If you start with Squarespace, thecreativeone.tv can offer you a lifetime discount on your account, after you have finished your 14 day free trial. Watch this promotional video to see if Squarespace better suits you!

Already have a Squarespace account and your 14 day trial is almost up? Just use the promo code 'thecreativeone' at checkout to receive a 10% discount on the life of your account!
