Online radio has become a big business in the last few years. Not only are people turning to the web for their musical needs, but podcasts are a huge draw for people who were once reliant on blogs. Even video podcasts are becoming the norm, and YouTube is full of cross-posted content that is becoming the highest viewed clips on the web.

WebMasterRadio.FM is the largest B2B podcast and radio network on the web. It has made leaps and bounds in the past couple of years, growing larger and offering unique features for their userbase. Podcasting: Audio vs. Video | Which is Better?

Podcasting is a great form of communicating with others that like the same topics as you, but the big question is, which type of podcasting is better to communicate on? Audio or Video? Well below are pros and cons of audio and video podcasting as well as my opinion on which is better

- Audio -

Pros

- Easier to handle and edit

- Recording process is straight through

- Doesn't take up as much bandwidth than Video

Cons

- Without Video, It could get boring at times 

- Without good audio sound and equipment, you're podcast will fail, NO MATTER HOW GOOD IT IS.

- Video -

Pros

- More catching to the eye than audio

- Bring good video, they will come

- Easier to content with your audience and subscribers

- Video can help lead your audience to the point of the video

- Video can help your audience understand you as a person better

Cons

- Even if your audio is Movie Cinema quality, if your video sucks, Your whole production SUCKS.

- Video requires more bandwidth and can be harder to handle and edit

- If your video is sucky, then your audience will be completely turned off. 

My opinion: In my opinion Audio is the better format for people starting off on podcasting and don't know much about it. But people who are experienced in podcasting as well as video podcasting should definitely stay with what they know and continue with video podcasting. My choice is Audio Podcasting.
