Akai Pro LPK25

Sometimes using Garageband or any recording software on your PC or Mac can be difficult if you don't actually have any instruments to use. You can always put together a beat using the prerecorded functions in whatever program you are using, but for those of you who want to take recording your music a step further, you may want to consider the Akai Pro LPK25. Akai is a brand used by many well known bands and musicians, for example Foster The People. Akai makes a wide array of products ranging from full sized keyboards to minature midi keyboards much like the LPK25. It is plug and play so simply plug it into your PC or Mac and open your recording software and begin playing. It can even be connected to the iPad for use in Garage Band but this requires the camera connector kit.

If you own a Macintosh computer wish OSX10 then you for sure already have one built into your machine with Quicktime. If you just need to record something simple in full screen, there is no need to buy a program like Screenflow, if you need up close and personal recordings, you may need to though.

Pixelmator For Mac Review

There are quite a few options anymore when it comes to choosing a graphics processor or design program. It's sometimes hard to determine which ones are worth the money and which aren't. I am happy to say that Pixelmator is a powerful application for the Macintosh that offers a variety of options similar to Photoshop, but has an additional feature that I wish Photoshop had, it has floating windows instead of a boxed-in feel.

Mac Magazine

While there may be many amazing Mac Focused Magazines both in the USA and the UK, my favourite is Mac Format, because the quality and quantity of the content and the overall standard of the magazine.

This magazine retails for around £5 in the UK, but I am not 100% sure if it is sold in the USA.
