Review: PureTek Roll-On Screen Shield Kit (PureGear)

As many of you know by now, this site's founder, David Di Franco, recently reviewed this product. I was fortunate enough to also receive a review sample from the company, so I figured, "why not post my thoughts here"? Before I get started with my review, I want to give a huge thanks to the fine folks over at PureGear for providing the Screen Shield to review! Be sure to check them out for a whole plethora of various mobile accessories.

First off, I have to say that this is the best screen protector that I've ever seen or used. If you're too lazy to keep reading, then here's what I want you to get out of this review; it's the screen protector done right. I was blown away with the simplicity and effectiveness of this screen protector. The shield is currently applied to my iPhone 4S without a single air bubble, which is a feat in and of it's own, not to mention how straight it has been applied. The kicker here is that the supplied "kit" did all the work for me, as seen in my application video

After about two weeks of constant use, I can say that this screen protector held up very well. The only downside is that there is now a blue tint on the front of my phone. This is due to me wearing jeans nearly every single day. Since my iPhone is constantly going in and out of my pockets, it makes sense that some of the blue color would wear off on to the screen protector. However, I'm sure that this isn't a fault of this particular screen protector, but probably all screen protectors in general.

When it comes to screen protectors, I'm very hard to impress. Basically, I'm one of those people that it's either perfect or I don't want it at all. All of my past experiences with screen protectors have been bad, due to air bubbles or poor alignment. While these were errors on my part, I simply never found it worth the time or work required to get a screen protector on a device perfectly. This product completely changed the way I look at screen protectors. It's not necessarily the actual screen protector that I find amazing, but it's the application process. Honestly, I don't know why anybody thought of this sooner. If you're thinking about buying a screen protector then this is the one to get, hands down. Coming in at $19.95, it's worth every penny. Be sure to check out this product if you're looking into investing in a screen protector for your iPhone.
