AppFresh Mac Update Manager - Video Review

I truly hate updates on my iOS. The more apps you have, the more frequently you will have to authorize updates one at a time, when all you want to do is use it. I am one of those people who will select the option to skip an update for months before I finally relent and allow it to do its stuff. I am just that lazy.

Tek Nation Episode 1: Apple Updates Galore

Many of you may know that the Apple.com store was shut down for mantinence yesterday because it received a few updates. The Mac Pro received a much overdue update. In August Apple will be selling a 12 core Mac Pro for a ridiculous price of $4999. But, it is a really fast and powerful machine, that will last you for a long time. Another new update that was very necessary was the 21.5 inch iMacs recieving a spec bump to the intel i3 processors. The Apple LED Cinema Display also received a long overdue update. Come September Apple will be selling a 27 inch LED Cinema Display for $999. A little pricey for a monitor. But, it does feature a built in mic, speakers, 3 usb ports, and other features a standard display would not have. The display also has a gorgeous 16:9 aspect ratio. The last big splash Apple made with their silent updates is with their new Magic Track Pad, which was leaked on MacRumors.com is the Magic Track Pad. It's basically a bigger version of the multi touch Track Pad featured on a MacBook Pro. Now, I'm not really sure why anyone would buy this. But, I will hold back all of the hate before I actually get to experience it for myself.

Apple Online Store Is Down

The Apple Online store is down. Now, I know this happens sometimes, but only when Apple is adding new products (as they did this summer on for the iPhone 3GS and new MacBook line), or lowering prices. Does this mean Apple is adding new products, like an iPod Touch 3G maybe? Not likely since the iPod event hasn't occurred. Or are they lowering prices of the iMacs in preparation for a new line this fall and adding new features to them in the process? An SD Card Slot on the iMacs? Could Quicktime 10 be available to download on Leopard not just Snow Leopard?  And maybe they are redesigning the site for Snow Leopard, which is most likely. Whatever happens, we know will be very nice and hopefully new! Glad I got you excited!
