New iMac, Mac Mini and White MacBook UniBody

Last week Apple released a few new products and updated many of them.

To start off there was the release of the well waited for Mac Mini server. The reason why I start off on this is because it is really the only new addition to “Mac Family”.  Over the last few years people have been buying the base line edition of the Mac Mini and turning it into a server.  Apple has finally seen a market spot and gone ahead and got rid of the superdrive and put in dual 500GB HDD’s.  Making that a whopping 1TB of HDD space.

Moving onto the iMac.  There is now only two editions of the iMac available to the consumer, a baseline 21.5” edition and a stunning 27” edition. Concentrating more on the 27” edition and its stunning LED Display.  The LED display has a ratio of: 16:9. Also adding a SD Card slot which was well over due! One major expansion to the iMac 27” is the Intel Core i5 processors and a possibility to upgrade to a Core i7.

The White MacBook as also got a revamp in the aesthetics.  You now have a PVC unibody, which is again preaching out to all the Green people.  They have also added a LED Backlight display to MacBook. Making it more like the MacBook Pro. They have even put in the glass trackpad. Going back to the unibody it has rounded edges and on the bottom there is a rubber type of mat.  This is the only thing i despite about the update.

There were also two new items that received a update, but may not get that much recognition. These are the iRemote and the Mighty Mouse or should i say the Magic Mouse. =].

The iRemote has been known as being one of the smallest remotes out there. It has now been extended and looks rather like the iPod Nano, with its click wheel feature.

The Mighty Mouse how ever is gone and has now been replaced with the Magic Mouse, which sound very magical if i must say.  The mouse is now completely touch sensitive now and you can do all the gestures on it that you can do on the glass trackpad. It now also has an aluminum base, just to match the iMac’s that it is now shipping with.
