The Great Horned Owl

I was about 30Meters from this beautiful Great Horned Owl at the Zoo's open walk exhibit. Every time I've ever gotten a chance to get close to this beautiful subject, it has either swiftly moved away for cover, or shut his or her eyes. This time, I waited patiently. For about 15 minutes, it had its head turned away, then, the waiting seemed to pay off. The gorgeous animal turned its head and opened those vibrant yellow eyes while I snapped 20-30 photos. Wow. I have never been so close or have ever gotten the chance to see such a spectacular creature! As I reviewed the photos on the back of the camera, I was blown away. I had just gotten a shot that I have tried multiple times previously, and failed.

Very impressive, I had a similar story, except on a boat. I was on my Uncles fishing boat on vacation. I had brought my Canon rebel XSI, and while others were trying to fish I was trying to get a good shot. It took me about three days, but I finally got a picture of a Sail Fish mid jump. It was the best picture I have ever taking to this day.
