Raheem Morris should be fired!

In 2008 the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were just above a .500 average team, with a final record of 9-7.  They had a 9-3 record heading into the final four games of the season, but fell short in each of their remaining games.  After losing to the Oakland Raiders in week 17, the Buccaneers failed to make the playoffs.  In January of 2009, the Buccaneers fired Head Coach Jon Gruden and made Raheem Morris the Head Coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Bruce Allen, Tampa's GM at the time, was also let go.  Then, a month later, Tampa Bay did one of the foolish moves in NFL history.  Tampa Bay released 6 of their veteran playmakers!

The Bucs' released Derrick Brooks, the veteran outside linebacker.  They released Warrick Dunn, a veteran half-back.  They released Joey Galloway, the number-one wide-reciever for Tampa Bay at the time.  They also got rid of Ike Hilliard, another reciever that has been with Tampa Bay for a long time.  Tampa Bay released Cato June, another great linebacker, and they released Jeff Garcia, the starting quarterback, who had a dominate season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  I'm honestly shocked that Tampa didn't release Ronde Barber or Carnell Williams.  Ronde is a veteran, so I could imagine the Bucs' being judgemental like they did with all of their other released players, and I thought they would have released Carnell Williams, do to the fact that he's injury-prone.

Now, with head coach Raheem Morris, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers currently sit at 1-12, struggling to even win a game against any team in the NFL.  Their only victory this season came against the Green Bay Packers in Tampa Bay.  The Bucs' won the game 38-28, and have since struggled.  Green Bay has since been a dominate team, and is currently a wild-card selection for the NFL's 2009-2010 Playoffs.  Tampa Bay really needs help, that's why they brought in rookie QB Josh Freeman to pick up the scraps that Byron Leftwhich and John Johnson left.  In all honesty though, Josh Freeman hasn't been that much better than either of the QBs he replaced.  He has thrown only 7 touchdowns and 13 interceptions, 8 of them within the past 2 games.

Overall, I think Raheem Morris has done a horrific job coaching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and should definately be replaced after this season ends.  He should be put as a defensive coordinator for the Buccaneers, as I believe the retired Steve Young as the 2010-2011 head coach.  Steve Young was a quarterback back in this industry for a long time, a hall-of-famer without a doubt, and I think he has what it takes to bring the Buccaneers back to the top.  The Tampa Bay Buccaneers should sign a linebacker in the first round of this year's draft, seeing as though they got rid of two of their veteran linebackers already.

Well, that's my opinion on the subject, talking about Raheem Morris and the current struggles of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  If you have anything to add, just post a comment below.  You can also get in touch with me through YouTube.  My username is NicksSportsPicks.  I hope you all have enjoyed this Blog, and I hope i've taught you something today.

I had to read the rules over just to make sure. This was a subject I just couldn't stand not to talk about it. I didn't want to make a video, so I posted it here. I read all the rules and no where did it say that the blog was supposed to be tech-related only. Thanks for the responce, David!
