Mac Mini Update?

Let me take you back to the year 2005, when Apple introduced the Mac Mini dubbing it "the most affordable mac" The Mac Mini is a great mac, however it has not been updated since it was introduced in 2005. As you know Apple is constantly updating their products whether it is their iPods or their Macs. My birthday is approaching soon and one of the things I put on my wish-list is a Mac Mini because I don't do very intense things on a computer, so a Mac Mini is perfect for me. According to MacRumors, they predict a Mac Mini update in March, so I am hoping it happens right at the beginning because my birthday is in the first week of March. If the Mini is updated, I believe Apple is going to use their new aluminum unibody design currently shipping with their new MacBook's and Macbook Pro's. If you like Apple's products, please leave comments and I would love to hear your opinions on the possible Mac Mini update, please tell me what you think. Thank You!

The statement that says that the Mac mini has not been updated since its introduction in 2005 is incorrect. The last update took place in 2007.

I hope a new mac mini comes out... and not just a refresh this time like in 2007. The unibody design is quite possible and I think it will also have a mini display port.

I agree with a possible MiniDisplay Port. However, Apple would most likely ship a MiniDP to DVI/VGA adapter, knowing that most people switching to a Mac Mini dont have the cash to shell out for a (hopefully) refresh of the Cinema Displays. Black-and-Aluminum Unibody, dual drive bays (Blu-Ray as upgrade?!??!) and Apple TV features would score top points.

If the update happens in march you won't get it in time for your birthday new products normally take about 6 weeks to hit the market so thats past for your birthday already. I think he means body style hasn't been updadted since 05 but nor has the mac pro/power mac.
