Will Apple Get Nastier?

Microsoft is now trying to criticize Apple with their "Laptop Hunters" ad campaign which is starting to get attention from a lot of people. For years Apple has been having great success with their "Get A Mac" ads which I enjoy watching. Microsoft is now trying to get nasty in response to those ads.

In the fall of 2008, Microsoft started an ad campaign with Jerry Seinfeld that was not successful and most people couldn't find the point to those ads. Apple's ads are about a guy who's a Mac and a guy who's a PC and they list interesting facts about each other, and Mac always tends to win. What I really like about Apple's ads is that they simply get to the point by telling everyone that Macs are better than a PC.

After Microsoft released those unsuccessful ads to the public in 2008, Apple made an ad making fun of Microsoft because they were spending more money on advertising instead of fixing Vista:

So in 2008, Apple successfully responded to Microsoft's ads by making fun of them.

Now it's 2009 and Microsoft is making better advertisements than they used to. They had to get a bit nasty but they're getting there. Since Apple responded to Microsoft's ads before, I find no doubt that Apple is going to get nastier as a response to Microsoft's "Laptop Hunters" ads. A lot of people from the Mac community have responded to Microsoft's ads, and they're making good points about Microsoft's ads.

This is the new nasty ad from Microsoft, which most people (like myself) find it horrible and it's total BS:

So will Apple get nastier? Feel free to post a comment on your opinion about these advertisements.
