Review: Body Glove Case for Blackberry 8900
Price: $19.99
Where to Buy: T-Mobile Corporate Store
I bought this case from the T-Mobile corporate store at the Mall of America. I bought this case because one of the employees there that has a 8900 recommended it me. I could not be more pleased with it. I originally bought the T-Mobile gel/skin case when I bought my 8900, but was dissapointed with it. I returned that to buy this.
This is a hard case, but is very grippy almost like a gel case. This case is more grippy than the gel case that I bought and then returned.
This case can be used by itself, or with the provided clip. I am using it with a leather belt holster so I can not say wether or not the plastic clip is well made. This case is very sturdy and has not come off once.
All ports and buttons are still easily acccesible and in the open. While the ports and buttons are not covered, they are still protected via the raised ridge around the opening.
This case makes typing very easy because you can concentrate on typing, instead of having to concentrate on keeping the phone from sliding out of your hands.
You can even put the phone face down without the screen, keyboard, or trackball touching the surface because of the raised edge.
Pros:
-Very protective
-Grippy, but doesnt collect dust
-All buttons and ports easily accessible
-Good price
-Looks good
Cons:
-Hard to get off without using a butterknife or similar object
-Adds a bit of bulk to the phone (not very much)
I highly recommend this case and I give it a 9.75/10.
The only reason I did not give it a 10/10 is because it is hard to get this case off, and to get it off you have to use a knife or other thin object to release the tabs holding the two halves of the case together.
The only place that I have seen this case is in a T-Mobile corporate store. I have not seen this case anywhere online. I have seen this case for other BlackBerry models online, but the one for the 8900.
Hope you enjoyed this. Thanks!
