What You Didn't Know About the PS3 Slim

As you all know by now, Sony recently unveiled it's new PS3 Slim due for release as September starts. Although it's upgraded and improved in many ways (120 gigs XD), not all modifications are positive. Here are 10 things you probably didn't know about the PS3 Slim:

1) Switches are now buttons: okay you probably know this one. This still disappoints me though because the old PS3's touch sensitive switches gave the machine a really cool futuristic feel.

2) It may be slimmer, but not smaller: Sony made their new line of PS3's well slimmer than before. However,   they make up for the lost size in width. PS3 Slim is about 1 inch thinner but 1 inch wider... RIP OFF!!!

3) You can't stand it vertically: Well actually you can if you buy a special stand (sold separately)... Without that stand, it's either horizontal or horizontal... Not cool Sony!!!

4) Back switch removed: Sony removed that useless giant switch in the back... meh.. It never really bothered   me anyway.

5) It's way quieter: Thank God!!! old PS3's sounded like a friggin' plane engine.

6) The games advertised on the box are Tekken 6, Uncharted 2, Madden NFL 10, inFamous, and MAG.

7) Hard drive is still removable: Even though 120 gigs is plenty, some extremely hardcore (and rich) gamers   around the world might need more space to satisfy their storage needs.

8) It's not really called the PS3 Slim: According to Sony, the new PS3's official name is still "Playstation 3".

9) It has a tiny stand-by light: If you only saw it in pictures, you probably didn't notice the invisible LED indicator just above the power switch.

10) You can control media with your TV remote: If you have a Sony Bravia TV, hook up your system via HDMI and you'll get to control all media with your TV remote. You can even set it to turn off with the TV. Cool!!

There you have it... Impressed?? Would you be willing to spend 300 dead presidents on the PS3's extreme makeover??? Leave your thoughts...

3. Actually, you can stand it up. It's a bit wobbly, but you don't NEED a stand.
7. It always was.

Other than that, pretty good article.

Agreed with Daniel, complete trash of an article. Remove.
