Thoughts on the Zune HD
The past few days there has been a lot of news regarding Microsoft's new Zune HD. I personally think the new Zune looks really nice, but I don't foresee it being the "iPod Killer" that Microsoft hopes it will be. What do you guys think? Will you be waiting in line to buy one of these?
Thanks!

It looks like a pretty neat device. I wouldn't buy one but I like that it gives people more options for personal media players. The "HD" is a bit misleading. "Supported 720p HD video files play on the player, downscaled to fit the screen at 480 x 272 – not HD resolution." is what Microsoft's site tells us. So it can hold 720p HD videos and play them at full resolution on your home HDTV but they're downscaled when played on the Zune. This really won't matter because you really won't be able to tell the difference on a tiny 3.3" OLED screen. Not really a big deal but misleading none the less.
Yeah I hear you there. I think that Microsoft has been trying so hard to bridge the gap between the iPod Touch and Zune HD, they didn't pay attention or care about the fact the product is a little misleading. Either way, I think the Zune HD is too little too late. It's too hard to catch up to the iPod/iPhone with the app store, so Microsoft should just start thinking about producing the next thing or they're going to play try to catch up forever.
I'll wait to see. Honestly, I love my Zunes. Love them to death. But It's more of a thing that if I don't need it at the moment, I won't get it. If Zune HD has Xbox Arcade interrogation though, I'd buy it. Not is all known about it.
MS should do this. Make an Xbox Portable, but make it a Zune Player also. Think like the PSP, which is a Play Station Portable, but with a Walk-man built in. If MS can actually make the PMP aspect of a Portable game system integrated perfectly with there Media Platform, Zune would easily make a better name for itself, thus sell units.
