Review: Tritton AX720

The Tritton AX720 is a Dolby 5.1 surround sound headset built for the PC, Mac, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3. We’ve been using this headset for about a week now. Here’s what we think about it.

Sound Quality:

The sound quality on the AX720 is incredible. During use, you can hear many different things that you couldn’t before, like footsteps. This headset also balances the bass really well. Bass is not to overwhelming, and adds more realism factor to any game.

Voice:

After using this headset for a week, from what we can tell, when you talk your voice sounds far away while talking over PSN, XBL, or Steam. Even when you are right next to your microphone. The feature to remove the microphone is also very nice. There are times when gamers want to just sit back and enjoy a game.

Pros:

- Great sound quality

- Strong, sturdy build

- Removable microphone

Cons:

- Wired

- Voice sounds far away

- Some static noise

Conclusion:

For $130, this headset is definitely worth the money. It has a very sturdy build and great sound quality. This is the best headset in its price range.

you shouldn't be getting static noise and it would degrade the sound quality if this was not wired
