Want to stop SOPA? Here's how.

Ladies and gentlemen of the internet, enjoy these final months of freedom, because if SOPA passes, anyone who endorses copyrighted content online will be thrown in jail. It doesn't matter if you live in the United States, or any other country. The U.S. Government is attempting to take over control of the internet. Luckily, everyone on the internet has an opinion.

Please send this video to your lawmakers so that they will realize what is going on and how much hypocrisy is behind the Stop Online Piracy Act.

After Effects Tutorial: Mid Air Collision

Welcome to another After Effects tutorial. This time, we're talking about mid-air collosions in After Effects.

We covered:

-More motion tracking

-Adapting an object to your scene

-Awesome explosions

The goal of this video is not to have the viewer copy everything, value by value. Each scene is different, and serves a different purposes. Use this tutorial as a template, and change settings based on your own footage. That's why I'm not supplying the airplane footage. But like I said, I used the presets that I selected in this video for a reason; they fit my scene. Try and create your own settings based on your scene.

Here are the photos of the airplanes that I used. These are the base photos, and have not been masked. Delta airplane is here, United airplane is here. If you really want them masked - Delta airplane, United airplane.

You may notice that the United airplane is different in the masked photo than in the base photo. I needed to flip it over to use it in my scene. When I flipped it over, the "United" text became inverted, so I fliped it as well. (You're welcome)

After Effects Tutorial: Explosion

Welcome to an After Effects tutorial that I threw together. Today, we're going to cover explosions in After Effects.

We covered:

-Motion Tracking

-Blending Modes

-Layering Effects

My goal:

The goal of this video is not to have the viewer copy everything, value by value. Each scene is different, and serves a different purposes. Use this tutorial as a template, and change settings based on your own footage. That's why I'm not supplying the airport footage. But like I said, I used the presets that I selected in this video for a reason; they fit my scene. Try and create your own settings based on your scene.

As for the effects, like the explosion, dirt charge, etc, you can get them here for $99 or $249. If you want free effects (of lesser quality) then go here.

Battlefield 3 Achievement Guides

Battlefield 3 is out, and achievements are in the air! Check out these guides that I made for three achievements in Battlefield 3.

Scrap Metal (25g) - Destroyed 6 enemy tanks before reaching the fort in Thunder Run

Just after the beginning of Thunder Run, you will gain control of the tank you are in. Drive forward. You will soon see six enemy tanks to your right. Destroy them all, and you will get this achievement.

Army of Darkness (30g) - Shot out the 4 lights with 4 bullets in Night Shift

This achievement is a bit tricky to obtain. You can get it literally right at the beginning of Night Shift. Keep in mind, your gun sways, and the lights sway. Aim for the top of the lights where they connect to the rope. There is a small delay between when you shoot and when the light is hit, as seen in the video. You don't really need to lead your shot, just keep that variable in mind.

Twofor (15g) - Took down 2 enemies with 1 bullet in Night Shift

This one is easy, and obtainable in many areas of the level. The easiest place to get it is right after obtaining the Army of Darkness achievement. Continue with the mission until you are at point where you need to cross a street and duck because of an oncomming vehicle. After the truck passes, you will sneak into an alleyway. Right before you do this, your partner will notify you of three enemies standing right in front of you and to not shoot them. Use your sniper to align two of them, and shoot. Bam.

Are Justin Bieber fans the equivalent of a DDoS?

Justin Bieber, who I didn't know could even drive, took a picture of traffic in Los Angeles.

Simultaneously, Instagr.am's servers start to blow up. The first thing that comes to mind is a DDoS attack. Well, Instagr.am's servers were put through so much stress, because a large fraction of Justin Bieber's 11+million followers went to Instagr.am to sign up and like the photo.

Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom confirmed that the rapid stress on the servers was due to Justin Bieber's fans. "Bieiber is gaining 50 followers a minute, and one comment every 10 seconds" Systrom says.

Instagram is a popular service - it hit 5 million users last month, and some of those 5 million users are celebs. After Justin Biebers wanna-be DDoS attack, they are just shy of 7 million users. Instagram says that this wasn't a publicity stunt, and they are happy that Justin Bieber is using the service.
