Apple Daily 11/8/10
Monday, Monday, Monday. No one really likes the sound of it, but with many good rumors surfacing throughout the day, it was a fine day. So, iWork 11' should be out soon, Steve Jobs comments on why the XServe was cancelled, and you Air users have the option to get big.
Apple's iWork '11 suite tracking for release alongside Mac App Store
Alright, all I can say is it's about time. Skipping a year better have done some good to the 2011 version of iWork that is supposedly coming out alongside the soon to be Mac App Store. The Applications should be available for purchase separately from the rest as well. We will get more information on this story as time goes on.
Alleged Steve Jobs e-mail says 'hardly anyone' was buying Apple's Xserves
So Mr. Jobs does have a good reason for pulling the plug on the Xserve, that reason being that they weren't selling. I have an Xserve in the house myself and I couldn't really care less. All I use it for is the Drive part and not the OS part. Plus Apple is continuing the support for the product. This emailer just had the grumpies.
Toshiba announces MacBook Air solid state drives available for sale
Cool? No, I can't say anything because I don't have an Air, but if I did I would be purchasing this option right now. The ability to go to 256GB but not the opportunity from Apple is outrageous. Now, Toshiba isn't the first to come out with this, but they might handle it a little bit better. Also, I wonder if the same storage is used in the iPad and you could deck that baby out to 256GB. Someone let me know down below.
That's it for Monday guys, and Black Ops is just around the corner. For those of you going tonight have fun, and play it only until 4AM. Check out the audio portion at the Ustream.
