Call of Duty: Black Ops 'First Strike' DLC Details Announced

Alas, after a long wait, Treyarch have finally announced the supposed first of many DLCs for their record-smashing game, Call of Duty: Black Ops. The DLC is named 'First Strike', which is my opinion is an appropriate name considering this is going to be the first DLC for the game. The DLC will include the following maps

  1. 'Discovery' - An post WWII era German research centre
  2. 'Kowloon' - Inspired from the single player level set in which players played through the dark, desolate rooftops of the city of Kowloon, in Hong Kong
  3. 'Stadium' - An odd setting of an abandoned hockey rink in the North-East of the United States
  4. 'Berlin Wall' - The setting of a war zone, supposedly Checkpoint Charlie, between East and West Germany

Treyarch were also kind enough to grace us with a new map for personally, my favorite mode of the game, namely, Nazi Zombies. The map is called Ascension. So far absolutely nothing is known about where this map is set, however a keen zombies fan over at the NextGenUpdate forums has posted some of his research into what this map could contain over here.

The DLC will be available for 1200 Microsoft Points or £14.99 USD on the Xbox Live Marketplace on February 1st. No info as to when we'll see it on the PS3, however sources speculate sometime around mid-March.
