Top 5 Most Wanted Gaming Gadgets for Holiday 2010

This was originally posted on ButtonMasher.tv.

5. Apple iPad

The Apple iPad is rapidly becoming the best selling mobile gaming device. Not only being an ideal mobile gaming device, the iPad has the award winning Apple App Store, and it is web enabled. It can also hold all of your favorite movies, TV shows, music, podcast's, and photos! The iPad sells for $499, and is an ideal gaming device.

4. Playstation 3

The Playstation 3 is the runner up in the console wars. The Playstation 3 is more "hardcore gamer" centric, and doesn't have as many features as the Xbox 360, but it does double as a Blu-Ray player. The Xbox 360 does not have a built in Blu-Ray player. The Playstation 3 does not have as many exclusive titles as the Xbox 360. The Playstation 3 sells for $299 for a 160gb built in hard-drives.

3. Playstation Move

The Playstation Move is considered the Wii HD. The Move is not "hands free" meaning that there is a controller that you need to use. The only reason that there are colored balls on the controller, interestingly enough, is so that the Playstation Camera can see the controller, so at least there is no sensor bar to get in the way. The Playstation Move is only $115.

2. Xbox 360

Since the Xbox 360 is now more family friendly than ever at this point, and still targets the gaming audience, it is one of the most wanted gadgets this holiday season. The Xbox 360 also has Netflix instant streaming, right out of the box. Don't forget about the built-in Twitter and Facebook applications, along with Zune marketplace streaming and ESPN. The Xbox 360 sells for $199 with 4gb of built in storage, or $299 with 250gb of built in storage.

1. Microsoft Kinect for Xbox 360

Lets be honest, everyone wants one! The Kinect is the future of motion gaming, heck, its the future! For people that already own an Xbox, it's about $50 cheaper than the Wii, and you don't have to worry about the controller. We havent seen anything like this since the Wii, and this will set the standard for motion gaming. The Kinect is currently selling for $149.99, Amazon.com has them in stock! The Kinect will work with any Xbox 360 console.
