Upload Videos Faster to YouTube
- First, download MPEG Streamclip
- Open MPEG Streamclip. Then, drag and drop your video onto the blue dots.
- Select File > Export to... I export to MPEG-4 because it does a good job of compressing the video.
- Select your frame size and any other settings you would like.
- Click save.
You can also use MPEG Streamclip to convert videos to different formats and change the size of videos.

Thanks alot for this great video, as a video producer myself the one part of the whole process that I hate is the upload due to my 400 Kbps upload speed. Hopefully this helps me out, it looks like it will.
Thanks alot, your videos are greatly appreciated!

What is the purpose for using this technique? I can assure you that all popular video production/editing applications provide options for exporting in different formats. Couldn't you just export in lower quality in the host application rather than wasting time in Streamclip?
Also, your technique doesn't upload videos to YouTube faster. Your UL speed is still the same. The post should be titled "How to Compress Files". Compressing video doesn't make the file size smaller; it reduces the quality of the video.
Every video editor I have used does not compress video files that well. Also, the title should be "How to Compress Files," but most people would search for how to upload videos faster before they search for how to compress a video.
