Apache Air Assault is a helicopter sim game made by Activision. In Apache Air Assault, you are an army helicopter pilot on call to do anything that the army needs you to. This game takes you all around the world, doing many different types of 'special operations'.

The Pros

  • Many different game-modes
  • Takes you all around the world
  • Realistic flying controls

The Cons

  • Control's are very sensitive
  • Difficult to control speed

Apache Air Assault has two different main modes, Campaign and Squad Operations. In Campaign, you are taken all around the world, mainly to stop a variety of illegal operations. From pirates guarding the coast, to gangs making drugs. In Squad Operations, you do a variety of different missions with many different goals. You may have to kill all enemies around an LZ so that a Black hawk can land and pick up a pair of downed Apache Pilots, or destroy bridges so that enemies cannot get into your base.

There are two different difficulties in this game (and a third that is unlocked after completing the campaign) Tutorial, and Realistic. Tutorial mode is very simple. It is harder to 'loose control' of your helicopter, and easier to control speed. Realistic mode is a step up from tutorial mode. It is very difficult to keep control of your helicopter, and hard to control speed.

As for a multiplayer aspect, this game does have multiplayer. In said multiplayer, you can complete Co-op campaign with your friends, or get into dogfight matches online. All in all, this game has a solid multiplayer that has very few glitches.

Thats about it for Apache Air Assault. This game has questionable controls, but a solid multiplayer. It also has a very fun and entertaining campaign, and Squad Operations.

9/10
