Will the Dawn on the Mac Tablet be the Heralding of Technological Evolution?

I'm sure many of you people have obviously seen that Apple is now unveiling the new Mac Tablet, the new macintosh that will hit the stores supposedly in Fall 2010, but will this new piece of technology be the heralding of a new era of technology?

With Sony releasing 3D TV and Microsoft recently launching the new Windows 7 operating system, it seems the Apple have once again gone one step further down a different route. But, will this new piece of Technology really boost our technological advances in the next decade? I believe so, but is this really a good thing?

A while back, I was talking to a friend, and we got to discussing topics such as "Are we growing too fast in the technological industry, and will it soon take over our lives?" Personally, I agree but also disagree. On some levels, our lives are beginning to become overrun with new tech, such as Mac tablets, Ultra Slim TV's, HD resolution and a whole lot more that is continually being produced. Maybe we are living our livesin the fast lane a little too much these days in regards to tech, maybe we are advancing our knowledge of how far we can go with a certain product, but needless to say, maybe we are beginning to draw ever closer to the line that we should never cross, maybe we should wait and see, not let our race get too big for it's boots...

On the other hand however, Technology assists us in so many ways, shapes and forms, it guides us when lost, teaches us when unskilled, and most importantly can be so much fun to use if used to it's full potential. For instance, I watched Avatar recently in 3D. I can't imagine what that film would be like in 2D rather than the glorious 3D that it was in. I cannot remember the countless times we have gotten lost while driving somewhere only to rely on our GPS to get us out of a mess.

All together guys, I reckon one way or another, technology can be bad, and it can be good. It's upto the user to decide whether it will be used for good or bad means.

Thanks for reading,

Anthony
