RAM Upgrades, OS X Lion, and App Store
As you all know, I purchased a 27-inch iMac last year (2010 model). I did pick up the Core i7 and couldn't be more pleased with the machine and Apple's customer service (see earlier posts).
As I prepare for OS X Lion to come out this coming summer I have decided to upgrade my RAM to 12 GB of DDR3 (1333 mhz) which should be more than enough. I know that many of you buy RAM on Newegg, some of the other cheaper alternatives, or even Apple themselves. I wanted to mention an excellent place to purchase electronics, computers, accessories, and household things. I purchased 2 sticks of Crucial 4GB DDR3 10600 (1333 mhz) from J&R Music and Computer World out of New York City. I want to say that the price was much better than Newegg when I purchased it yesterday. The price was $36.99 per stick and that was with free shipping and handling. You can't beat that. As I said I purchased a total of 8 GB to add to the 4 GB already on my iMac. This is a good time it seems to upgrade ram.
In the past I have purchased home electronics from J&R and I can tell you that they are awesome and have excellent prices. Many items also have free shipping. I have purchased from J&R for about 7 years now and haven't had any problems. You guys might want to look into upgrading your Macbook, Macbook Pro, or iMac ram. It certainly can't hurt and will give OS X Lion the extra legs to stretch!
I am excited about OS X Lion coming out and can't wait to see things like mission control in action. If you guys haven't done so you can now download the Ap Store from Apple to your Mac. There were several updates recently that came out so you might want to go to software update and check. The Ap Store looks really cool and I plan to look at it more indepth tonight. Hope you guys can upgrade your Macs, it certainly can't hurt being on the cusp of Lion coming out in a few months! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday and Christmas season. As for me I'm waiting on my Ram to arrive! Can't wait!

App is spelled with two P's. Other than that, nice article.
I don't think your computer will use any of the 12gb. It at most will use like 4. And probably 8. If ur editing a huge video and doing other stuff. You should have bought a faster HDd. That is more useful
