Verizon iPhone with Unlimited Data?
In under 24 hours, it will be Tuesday. Tuesday is going to be a huge tech day (hopefully) with Verizon. Verizon is holding their conference where rumors have it, Verizon will be releasing the iPhone. A few more details about the Verizon iPhone have been leaking out. One of those details is the release date.
Reuters reports:
Verizon Wireless, the top U.S. mobile provider, plans on Tuesday to unveil a version of the Apple Inc iPhone for its service and will kick off sales of the device a few weeks later, a source told Reuters.
The second of these details is the fact that Verizon will be supplying “Unlimited Data” to all iPhone Users.
The Wall Street Journal clarifies this:
Verizon Wireless will offer unlimited data plans when it starts selling the iPhone, a person familiar with the matter said, providing a key means of distinguishing its service from rival AT&T Inc.
If Verizon does so, it would make a move from AT&T to Verizon a simple choice. AT&T recently changed their highes Data Plan to 2gb instead of unlimited. If you go over the 2gb, you will be hit with overages. Only time will tell the “true” outcome of what will come.

This was one of my first considerations. I'm hoping the competition with verizon will lead AT&T to provide more to maintain its user base. 2GB of data is getting a bit limiting, especially considering that several apps permit video chatting over 3G.
a few things. They aren't releasing an iphone, they are announcing. Just to clarify that.
I think that verizon is going to set a cap limit on there data plan, due to the simple fact that they will have android phones, blackberry and IPHONE. I can gurantee that, verizon is going to have problems with there network.
Actually, they may not be announcing it at all. Nothing has been 100% confirmed that they will be saying anything about the iPhone tomorrow. It is very possible that we all could be over looking the other obvious, iPad 2. Nothing is for certain until after the presentation tomorrow.
