5 Tips to Make Your Blog Posts More Appealing

The hardest part about a blog is to get viewership. Once a visitor lands eyes on your glorified blog, you only have a matter of seconds to convince them to stay and ready before they go on with their daily routine.

The most effective way of keeping a visitor locked into your blog is by creating appealing blog posts. I want to share 5 tips with you that I believe will make reading your blog posts more appealing.

5 Tips to Make Your Blog Post More Appealing

  1. Spelling/Grammar – Spelling and grammar is essential to a well written blog post. Not only is it essential to a blog post, but essential for your whole website. Correct spelling and grammar is very pleasing to the eye and helps your blog to flow smoothly for the reader. That is key. If the article doesn’t flow smoothly, then you have just lost a reader.
  2. Headline – Creating a catchy headline is always a good idea. The main purpose that someone chose to read your article is for the headline of the post. If the headline of the article is boring and lackluster, what’s the point of checking it out? Always make sure your headline is catchy so browsers will want to check out your post. (Headline meaning Title of Post)
  3. Stay Focused – Staying focused will help you out, tremendously. Staying will focus will also help the overall smoothness of your article. Also, when a reader comes to read what your headline says, they want to read about that and that only. If you jump around too much, you have lost focus and in return, you have lost a reader. Make sure your blog post is focused around the headline.
  4. Make the Main Content Visible – Whether you like it or not, the majority of your readers will skim through your articles. With this in mind, highlight your main points. Most readers want to get right the information and not the before and after. Knowledge is what readers are looking for, no “Chit Chat”
  5. Be Yourself – I can’t tell you how many times I have gone to other blogs and see similarities between bloggers. Make sure what you have to say is original. Make sure people know that it’s YOU they are reading and not a fake person. Who likes a fake person?

Hopefully, these 5 tips will help you create a top notch blog. One last tip, (take this as a bonus tip) have fun. Have fun with your blog, don’t stress if you have writers block and can’t think of anything to write about. Don’t force yourself to write, just have fun!
