The Dark Knight Rises: What's happening?

As most of us probably already know, the sequel and the last movie of the Christopher Nolan Franchise is in production. We've seen trailers, photos and leaked videos, but the question I've been asked is; "what is going on so far?" Well here it is.

The official poster and trailer were released back in July. The poster is very basic, showing the bat logo crumbling with Gotham.

The trailer is also very basic, showing clips of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. There was scenes such as Lt. Gordon lying in a hospital bed describing why the Batman must return. Other clips show Bane (the main villain) played by Inceptions, Tom Hardy. So nothing too exiting here, actually generating more questions than answering. 

The final seconds of the trailer show a very tired batman being dwarfed by a huge Bane. The words "The final conclusion to the Dark Knight legacy" show that maybe this is the end for batman. 

Pictures and videos were recently released showing fight scenes outside a jail in Gotham. This also included pictures of Anne Hathaway playing a very different Catwoman. She is shown wearing a suit very simaler to that of Black Widow in Iron Man 2, with a pair of high tech sunglasses. But do not fear, it is said she will be wearing a cowl too.

Banes costume was also revealed, he appears to be wearing a military trench coat, combat trousers, army boots and a strange mask. None the less very intimidating.

Footage was also released showing Bane making a speech at an NFL game. It is also said that the Pitbourg Steelers are also playing a part in this scene. 

Batman still looks the way he did in the last film, which is good. No sign of any other characters though, then again, it is still early days.
