Next Generation iPad Rumors

There has been a lot of speculation as of late about the next generation iPad many rumors have been going around mentioning an 'iPad HD'. I believe Apple will keep all product names simple but this is about the rumors associated with the so called iPad HD.

This device is said to be sold along side the iPad 2 and with target professional users that are in the photo and video industries. Along with the iPad HD, it has been said Apple are planning new iPad versions of Final Cut Pro or Aperture. I can see Aperture being announced in the near future for iPad and maybe iPhone/iPod Touch.

"Our sources are saying that not only will there be a newly designed iPhone coming in the fall, but there is going to be a new entry into the iPad family as well. As hard as it might be to believe, the new tablet is said to sport a double resolution screen (2048 x 1536), and will be dubbed the "iPad HD." The idea behind the product is apparently that it will be a "pro" device aimed at a higher end market - folks who work in video and photo production possibly - and will be introduced alongside something like an iPad version of Final Cut or Aperture. This product is specifically said to not be the iPad 3, rather a complimentary piece of the iPad 2 line. Think MacBook and MacBook Pro." via MacRumors

After studying Apple for such a long time I'm sure that Apple will release a new iPad named iPad 3 that will have the Retina display due to Apple consistently putting top notch displays on their devices. I don't think the resolution will be that high due to the sheer cost to make that kind of panel. Sure it will be a retina display just not as high a resolution as that. If they do pull it off and allow the price to be the same, props to Apple. That is why the current iPad is selling 25 to 1 against the Android tablet counterparts because Apple are not just throwing any hardware together and they give by far better support.

As I mentioned before Apple are a smart company and many people know how they think, Apple likes to keep their inventory as simple as possible for the consumer. Adding another iPad would be pointless and they would probably loose money over it. They will stick to what they know best and keep updating them appropriately.
