Facebook iPad App will be Announced at the Upcoming Apple event?

If the title of this blog post is true, I’ll be extremely happy.  It’s been a long couple of years with no dedicated Facebook application for the iPad.  According to our sources, the Facebook iPad App will be announced at the upcoming Apple event, which will most likely occur on October 4th.  Not only will they be releasing the new app (hopefully), Facebook will reportedly be launching a revamped iPhone app and the new HTML 5 version of the mobile site.

If you remember, earlier this year an iPad App for Facebook was leaked out to the web and people were getting their hands on what seemed to be the new Facebook App for the iPad.  Shortly after discovery, the secret Facebook App vanished and left us all thinking!  Jeff Verkoeyen, former Facebook engineer informs people from a post that the app is ready but Facebook is waiting to release it.  As awesome as it sounds to have it be released along side in an Apple event, is it logical?  Apple and Facebook don’t have the greatest history with each other.  Have they kissed and made up?

Facebook will also be releasing a revamped iPhone App that will increase speeds and functionality.  Although we don’t know exactly what will be changed in the app, it’s still exciting!  If all rumors and reports are true, October 4th will be a huge day with the “unveiling of the next iPhone,” iOS 5, and Facebook announcements.
