Review: Speck CandyShell Satin for iPhone 4/4S

The Speck CandyShell Satin is an iPhone 4/4S case that costs $34.95. This case differs from the original CandyShell in that the back is satin, not glossy, so it doesn’t scratch. It comes in 3 different colors, and I purchased the White/Pomodoro (Red) combination.

My case has gotten somewhat dirty on the back and sides, most likely because it is white, so keep that in mind for when you choose what color combination you want. Also, a problem with all CandyShells, is the pencil eraser effect. This means that after taking your iPhone in and out of the case the material on the sides will kind of wear down, and it is noticeable.

The case also has two layers combined into one piece. The inside of the case is soft so not to scratch the iPhone, but the outside is hard to protect the phone. Also, the corners have the same soft material that’s one the inside of the case so it’s shock absorbent. The camera cutout is large and I haven’t experienced any flash washout.

So, to wrap this review up, what do I think about this case? I think that it’s a great case for a fine price, which is also lower on Amazon. As for how dirty it might get (if you get the white version), I personally don’t care because of the simple fact that it still protects my phone. I think this case is totally worth the money.
