20 Successful Blogging Tips

Blogging has been an art form on the Internet since the early 1990s.  Whether you blog about your personal life, healthy dieting or technology, there are a bunch of tips and tricks that you should follow in order to be successful. We’ve compiled a list of 20 easy-to-use, do-it-yourself blogging tips to help you succeed in the blogging community.

  1. Choose a passionate niche that you will always be happy to blog about.
  2. If you haven’t purchased your own customized domain name, think about doing so.  Keep is short and/or relevant to your niche.
  3. Try not to let your blog post go too long without a post.  Post on a regular/consistent basis.
  4. Optimize your blog using SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
  5. Use a simple and elegant theme.  Don’t want too much going on to distract the reader of the content.
  6. Do your best to reply to all comments made in your blog.
  7. Don’t force yourself to write content.
  8. End your post with a question so that you will receive feedback.
  9. Make sure you use correct grammar and spelling.
  10. Double check your work before making that article live.
  11. Try not to talk in the first person unless it’s your personal blog.
  12. Include images in your posts.
  13. Don’t focus on making money.
  14. Be helpful to other bloggers (especially beginners).
  15. Don’t copy other articles from other blogs.  This could lead you to a possible lawsuit.
  16. Always use a sense of humor.  Keeping it clean is always advised for a professional blog.
  17. Make sure your blog appears well in other Web Browsers
  18. Always include an About Page and Contact Page.
  19. Always be yourself.  Don’t be someone you’re not.

We hope these 20 tips will help you blog succeed.  If you have any other suggestions you would like to leave, put them in the comments section.
