What I Realized About Cameras

While I was looking at Canon DSLRs on Amazon such as the T2i, T3i, and 60D I realized how much those cost, or rather how much it would cost me. So then I started looking at Canon Point and Shoot cameras. Specifically the PowerShot 300 and 310HS.

After going all the way down to looking at point and shoots, I realized that I own an iPhone 4S, which has an 8 megapixel camera, a LED flash, and records 1080p video. I accepted that that would do for me since I'm not doing any professional photography.

Also, since I have apps such as Photoshop, and Aperture (and am looking into getting Lightroom) on my Mac I would be able to edit these photos to my liking.

Anyways, the main point you can take away from this article is to use the things you have before looking for something better. Even if you had an iPhone 4 (which has a 5mp camera) you would be fine. Most high end Android phones have great cameras. With all the apps out there besides the default camera app, you can take great photos. Even without any need for post editing.
