Funniest YouTube Comments
The amount of time every person in the world spends on YouTube every day must be staggering. The revolutionary website has managed to slip into the mainstream consciousness and just isn't going away. A great way to share videos of any kind, any that hit viral - or even just popular - status are very entertaining for whatever reason, good or bad.
Sometimes it isn't just the video that is great, but also the comments. A witty remark from a YouTube user can actually be better than the video it has been placed on. More than one clip has gone viral more because of people's reaction to the content than the content itself. These ten examples are proof of that.
1. Imagine Dragons
You would think that this process was self-explanatory...it is right in the name! But one YouTuber is woefully ignorant of how to imagine a dragon into existence. Instead, he was forced to endure the warbling, droning sounds of yet another band trying to be Mumford and Sons.
2. Pitbull
Maybe it is the ALLCAPS of the comment, or the fact that after looking at him with fresh eyes Pitbull does kind of look like he evolved from the Humpty Dumpty genus. Either way, all I have to say is "dale!"
3. Water Bottles
I have actually seen this type of comment on a lot of knife cutting or shooting videos, always involving inanimate objects. While I don't know if this was the first, I do think it is the funniest. This guy is so goofy...everyone knows that Swedish Alp Bottles travel in herds up to twenty! Silly man..
4. Video Quality
We have all seen the bad quality of some videos on the web, especially phone footage of concerts and events. Honestly, it is hard to fathom why people bother to take such clips at all. This one must be worst than most if it lacks the clarity of a potato and/or foot.
5. Twilight: New Moon
This one is more about Kristen Stewart, but as her expressionless face is the perfect imitation of the blandness of the literary Bella Swan, I think this counts as a Twilight smackdown.
6. Blurred Lines
Normally I wouldn't make such a comparison, but there is no denying that Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines has some questionable messages behind it. So when people took to Twitter and began to hashtag references to the song with "rapey", I though it certainly applied. So did this commenter, apparently.
7. DJ KHALED!
Anyone who has been unfortunate enough to have their ears assaulted by one of DJ Khaled's sorry excuses of rap will totally get this one. He filled his tracks with so many guest stars who carry the weight for him that he has to repeatedly scream his own name or no one would know he recorded it in the first place. But the Pokemon quip is extremely funny, especially as he looks an awful lot like a Snorlax, doesn't he?
8. The Man Who Killed Hitler
Never before have I been so grateful for the failing education standards in the US as I was when this stupid comment was posted. Because it sparked the funniest thread of responses I have ever seen from a YouTube video. Also, a rather philosophical one, if you squint at it and turn your head sideways.
9. That Funky Beat
Pop. Crack. Sizzle. Man, I have to admit that I have never really understood this whole dubstep craze. At least the video is nice.
10. Still a Better Love Story Than...
Did I mention I freaking hate Twilight?
I know these are far from the only funny comments to make their way onto a YouTube videos. Let us know your own favorites below.
