My Study Life Review

My study life is a free to use application that you can find on the Google Chrome Application store. Being a college student I did find myself having a hard time remembering what assignments were due what day. With this in my I had to find something to help me out in the long run. So after browsing around I found this application and decided to give it a shot. What My Study Life does is work like a calendar application allowing you to plan out your days, weeks, months, and years. This can make planning ahead a lot easier than trying to remember. But before we go into full detail of everything this app has to offer, I would like to mention that the interface looks amazing. It’s clean and simple, and shares a close resemblance to the Windows Metro interface, which for those who don’t know it is the Windows 8 interface. With this clean design it makes it more user friendly so that anyone can learn how to use it quickly.

When we first start up the application it asks you to register an account with them. You can do this by providing an e-mail and making a password for them, or logging in through one of many social media outlets. Once you are logged in you’re brought straight to the dashboard. It’s a plane white screen with some colorful squares and six icons to the left of your screen. Each one of these icons does something different.

The first icon you see is the dashboard icon, which brings you to the dashboard. The second icon is the calendar icon, which brings you to a calendar. This is where you can go to manage all of the classes you have and keep up to date with upcoming events. It will be portrayed in a blue square with a time stamp indicating what time that even is coming up. The next icon is the tasks icon which is the icing on the cake for this application. What this icon does is bring you straight to the tasks menu, which allows you to add classes, tasks, upcoming events, to do lists, or whatever you want to see on your calendar. For me I typed in some class information to remind me what I have to do this week. The next icon is the exams icon which is the same as tasks but for tests and exams. So there is no need to go into full detail on that. Then there is a search icon, which if you can’t remember the date or something specific but remembered the title or the event you can search it up and it will bring up all instances with the word you typed it.

This application isn’t just for people who go to school. This can make a good application to use if you’re a parent who has a kid in school but want him to have some kind of study schedule. Although a lot of what this application can do is on a calendar application, I still found it to be an interesting application to try out. There were a lot of unique features that did make this stand out from the rest including the metro like interface. However one of the things the application doesn’t do by default is send you alerts reminding you that you have something due. This can be bad if you don’t check back often. But with that being its only real downfall, if you’re a very productive and busy person I would highly recommend you at least give this application a shot. Who knows you might find it more useful than you would ever give it credit for.
