How Google Could Become Your New Energy Supplier

Google is to invest in companies developing clean-energy technologies as part of an effort to make renewable energy cheaper than coal. The internet giant is to develop software and hardware tools for energy management and plans to sell a percentage of the generated energy back to the grid for Renewable Energy Certificates. In other words, Google may one day be supplying your energy.

The initiative, termed RE < C ("renewable energy less than coal"), will see Google next year invest millions of dollars in research and development in renewable energy. The project is fronted by Google's Energy Access team, led by Arun Majumdar, vice president of Google's energy unit and former acting undersecretary of energy at the U.S. Department of Energy.

Investments will be focused on solar-thermal technology, wind power, and geothermal systems. Google has already entered into a 20-year green Power Purchase Agreement with wind and solar energy company NextEra and is working with solar-thermal company eSolar.

Mac OSX 10.10 Revealed

There was a lot of interesting thing’s going on this week, such as the co-founder of the pirate bay getting arrested, or Justin.tv announcing that they are going to be deleting their video archives on June 8th. But one thing that really stood out was the WWDC Conference that was held on June 2nd. Although not a lot of hardware changes were announced, the software side of things did get some big announcements this week. Giving the new updated OS more mobile controls, this version of the OSX line up is looking more promising by the day.

Bouncers Adventure

In today’s video we are going to be looking into a free android game designed by radioactive sloth studios called “Bouncers adventure”.  The game is a mix of a 2D platformer and a coin collection mechanic.  The whole point behind this game is to collect as much coins as you can and reach the end of the level as fast as you can as well. The quicker you do so the more points and coins you get, which will be useful for purchasing power ups of some kind. You can find this game in the Google play store or on Amazon as well. So if you have the free time, give this game a shot.

Koding App Review

Today we are going to be taking a look at an application that I found while searching for something else. As strange as that may sound, I was actually looking for a community that was designed around the idea of programming or coding. While browsing the Google Chrome App Store I found an app that was not just an application to help you with coding on hand, but a community full of developers that were willing to help people out. That app was called “Koding”. Because you know, it’s always more epic to spell things with a “K” rather than a “C”. So I loaded up the application and registered an account with the site and began using this application.

Any Do Application Review

Today we are going to be looking at the Any Do application. This app is available in the Google Chrome Appstore and is under the new lineup of desktop enabled applications. Any do allows you to keep track of a well-organized and planned out to do list on your computer or tablet depending what you’re using it on. One of the best things about this application is that it sends you an e-mail the day of an event you planned out. Keep track of personal dates, release dates, upcoming dates, or even dates that begin tomorrow in the palm of your hands without having to use a piece of paper. So if you’re ever having a lot on your platter take the anydo application into consideration and get your life a bit more organized by the day.
