Best Apps To Manage Your Pension

There aren’t a lot of people terribly excited about workplace pension schemes. Giving up something today to save for tomorrow seems to go against instinct for many people.

Under new laws from 2012, auto-enrolment became the requirement for the largest companies, which is good news. But simply enrolling in a pension scheme isn’t enough.

People have to set goals, watch how their workplace pension contributions are growing, and see whether they’re hitting the target amount before retirement.

Start Getting Things Done with GTDNext

GTDNext to-do list iconSometimes I wonder if humans have always had problems with procrastination or if it's a unique affliction of our age brought on by information overload.

Don't worry, there's still hope for us because we have many tools and techniques for time management and productivity at our disposal. A few years ago I became seriously interested in productivity methods. Since then I've tried and even reviewed many to-do apps and solutions. While trying to overcome procrastination, I've probably read every piece of motivation advice on the planet, including the variations and "hacks" of the most popular ones.

And after all that, I'm still equally excited whenever I hear about a new productivity method or app. What kind of approach does it propose? What does it look like? Does it have something that others don't?

Today I want to show you a new (version 1.0 was just released a month ago!) time management and to-do organization app called GTDNext. If you're looking for a logical and simple way to tackle your projects and tasks, GTDNext can help you.

The Best Free Meditation Apps For The Kindle Fire HD

Who says technology can't be spiritual?  Here are a handful of meditation apps that can help you on the road to enlightenment.  As of this writing, you can download these apps for free at the Amazon app store for the Android.

Some features may require you to upgrade to a premium version, but all these apps have enough to offer in free mode.  Please note that apps may be incompatible with certain devices.  Check each product description at the app store before you decide to get it.

Meditation Garden

Meditation Garden by Mind Attuned is a full-featured meditation app.  It comes with a timer, sound effects, background images and a journal.  The timer lets you set the length and number of sessions, as well as preparation time or "warm up."  If you want to mark the passage of time during a sitting, you can set the bell to ring at fixed or random intervals.  For example, if you set a session to last for an hour, you can specify intervals at, say, every twenty minutes.

Browsers You've Never Heard Of: QupZilla

QupZilla iconThe chances are that you are reading this article in one of the five most popular web browsers: Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera or Internet Explorer. Whichever browser you're using, you've surely heard of the other four, if not tried them at least once in your surfing career.

Of course, “the big five” aren't the only browsers available – there are plenty more for different platforms, and it's great that there are, because it means that the users are given a wider choice.

Joining the ranks of lightweight web browsers like Midori, K-Meleon and Pale Moon is QupZilla – a simple, zippy browser with features that some major browsers don't even have by default.
