Tiny Piano - the Free App Review

I have a friend in a band, and a fairly successful one for an unsigned, local group. They are slowly making their way in the music world, and have been gaining a lot more attention on a national scale thanks to the internet. They are really good, and I am always thrilled to know they are managing to garner some success.

The lead singer says the secret is to always be ready to write something amazing. Their best received songs were thought up on the fly, at random moments. He makes sure he has a couple of tools on hand for when he gets an idea for a killer tune or good lyrics. One of his favorites is Tiny Piano (a related app: Short Wave for Mac).

How It Works

The app is pretty much just a piano you can take with you wherever you go. The Free Play mode is the one that my friend uses most. But they do have 250 songs already loaded onto the app. You can just use a tapping motion to play it automatically, or learn the actual notes by playing as it guides.
