Fitbit Force And Flex- Two Of The Most Innovative Health Trackers Yet

With New Year’s just behind us, several of us are in the midst of trying to keep our New Year's resolutions going strong. Several of those resolutions likely involve getting in shape, being healthy, and all that jazz. This is why I want to talk about fitbit.

Fitbit is a company that offers an innovative and stylish line of products designed to help you get active, eat better, manage weight, and sleep better. Fitbit offers five devices to meet your lifestyle needs. There are four wearable devices and one smart scale. I'm going to talk about the two wristbands they offer. The Flex and the Force both are comfortable enough to wear throughout the day and even when you sleep. I myself received a Flex for Christmas and for the most part it hasn't left my wrist.

Fitbit Flex

The Flex is currently $99.95 and comes in 4 different colors. It tracks your steps, distance, and calories burned during the day. At night, you can set it to sleep mode and track your sleep. It tracks your sleep by showing you total hours slept and minutes awake. You can even set an alarm so that the Flex gently wakes you in the morning without bothering anyone who may be sleeping next to you. All this is tracked simply by syncing to your computer or smartphone. If using your phone, you simply download the app, and use Bluetooth to sync devices together. You can choose to have your fitbit sync automatically or at will if you prefer.

Fitbit Flex

You can get The Force for $129.95 with the option of two different colors. The Force is kind of like the Flex on steroids. You get all of the same features but more. You get real time stats that you can view directly on the sleek OLED display. You also have the extra feature of time so that your wristband can double as a watch. Call notifications are coming soon as part of their firmware update with iOS 7 on the iphone 4S and later.

The great thing about fibit is that they allow you to set goals in order to keep you motivated. You can program the LED lights to blink throughout the day as you get closer to your goals. You can even get badges for reaching your goals. If a friend has one, a little friendly competition is also a great way to keep you moving.

You also have the option to add workouts and log your food intake if you want to take it even a step further. Fitbit offers a variety of tools online and on your phone to make this super simple and convenient. After awhile of logging stats, you can look at graphs to see how you're doing, discover trends, and figure out how to crush those previous stats. This way you're constantly improving and getting closer to an even healthier you.

With plenty of tracking devices on the market, you might be wondering what makes the Flex and the Force stand out. They use a leading-edge accelerometer and altimeter that uses advanced technology to track your unique, personal data to reflect your stats. Personally, I would say it’s their variety of online motivational tools and the ability to not only track your activity but your sleep as well. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s super comfortable and easy to wear whenever, wherever. Check out fitbit’s entire line of products! I’m sure there is something for everyone who is looking to live a healthier lifestyle. Check them out at www.fitbit.com
