Today we are going to look at the differences between filter effects and adjustment layers in photoshop. This lesson isn’t hard at all, and can be done in a short amount of time. My goal in this video is to show you which one is the better one to use, while being able to show you a way to get the filter effect look while being able to not ruin your images. The photos that were used in this video belong to me, but feel free to use whatever you want to help you understand the lesson better.
In today's little help video, we are going to be looking at one of my favorite tools in Photoshop. The Quick Selection Tool. This tool is actually quite unique and can be very useful in some of the toughest situations. This works like a brush to where you can resize it and select or deselect certain areas of the picture with no problem. I will show you how to use it and even some cool things you can do with it. I hope you find this video useful for your photoshop experience.
Using some basic Photoshop touch up techniques can make your photography pop out more or even fix some issues you cannot correct in the long run. Some of the tools you can use to change something minor in a big image that would normally be hard to do. In this video we will go over a theory of how these tools could work for you. Good luck, and enjoy.
Have you ever wanted to edit your photos or draw a picture with your digital tablet but couldn’t afford Photoshop or paint sai tool? Now you can with the Google chrome app “Pixlr Editor.” This application isn’t the best of its kind, but works for the basic use much like MS-paint. Granted this application is much more powerful than MS-paint, but let’s go down the line of things it could have done better, and why the application may be good for you.
The interface will remind you of Photoshop right off the bat if you have used it before. It offers a navigator that allows you to see what your image looks like at a micro view (which some digital artists use the most to get a faraway distance view...
Yes I know it has been a while since I wrote anything for the site. But don’t worry; I come barring a helpful video for those who want to learn some cool tricks with Photoshop. I won’t go into detail on my absence, but I am glad to be back.
In this video I will show you how to use a cool little feature called “Adjustment layers”. What are adjustment layers? They are layers that are considered to be filter effects with a masking ability. Meaning you can fix the image through a separate layer without having to use the undo feature so many times. Why is this helpful? Your history on Photoshop only goes back so far. Once you reach the limit of the undo button, there is only so much you can do.
Not only does this make adding and removing effects so much easier, but it also provides an excellent end result. There is a catch, to use this feature you need to have the brush tool selected. From there you only use two colors. Black and white. One removes the effect and the other adds the effect back.
There will be more videos like this to come. In fact the next video will be handling some image fixing tools.
