iPad 2... iMovie?

With all the talk going around about Apple launching the iPad 2, I thought I'd share my most wanted feature: iMovie.

It's already predicted that Apple are going to add at least one camera, hopefully HD, to the iPad's successor. Whilst that's all very nice, I really hope that Apple have plans to bring iMovie to the iPad, whether they chose to include a camera or not. Let's face it, if something can be done on the iPhone 4, chances are you can do it on the iPad. Well, apart from texting and making calls obviously, but let's not be silly now. There are also rumours that Apple intend to add a USB ports and SD card slot. Even if they don't iMovie could still be used by being able to either:

Upload videos that need to be edited onto iTunes.

or

Be able to open videos from the Mail client.

What are you all hoping to see?

What I'm Hoping to See on the iPad 2

The time is almost here for Apple’s latest product to be announced. In this case, the iPad 2, the 2nd generation of a revolutionary product Apple released just about a year ago. Though expectations are sky high, I would be happy to see just a few things added to the iPad 2 to make it a stellar device.

How Apple Started a Revolution

Tablets, tablets, and more tablets. They are what everyone is talking about know a days. Everyone is coming out with a tablet of their own. All filled with apps and items destined to make your life better. But why tablets? Why did the world go crazy? Because they where a revolution in the way we socialize and game. And it all started with Apple.

Try to visualize in your mind what the tablet industry would look like today if Apple hadn't came out with the iPad. Sure there would be some tablets here and there but no where as close as many as there are today. the iPad changed the way people compute and the way companies work. It has inspired dozens of companies to come out with their own tablets.

Even though it isn't the best tablet on the market the iPad changed the game.

Thoughts on the New Apple Homepage

Today, Apple made some slight changes to their homepage and other parts of the website and I'm going to give my thoughts on it.

Normally, this wouldn't be a big deal but for the last 10 years their homepage and website has essentiality only had one or two slight design changes over the years and this has been enough time for anyone from normal people to big companies to copy their design.

An example of one of the many people/companies that copy Apple's now old website design.  This is Telos.

As the example right above shows, lots of people like Apple's design.  When they changed their homepage to a new design it's not just some small thing because so many people follow Apple from copycat Chinese computer manufacturers to design businesses to Copy and Paste the design Apple uses.  Some do poorly at it and some do great.  The above is just a example of a website that copies Apple and just doesn't know how to do it just right.

A picture from the Mac part of the site showing the new slider bar for pages showcasing a lot of products.

I've rambled enough on other things about how Apple website impacts how things are done in the website world over the years.  Now I will say what I think of the redesign.

The redesign is both a major step forward and a major step back for Apple.  It's a step forward because Apple's learning only more about the design and leaving the rest of the companies in the slow lane when it comes to design.  It's also a step back because lately Apple has been chasing the mobile market when they need to focus on the Mac side of things more and this redesign only screams how they have reoriented themselves to be centered around the iOS devices they sell.

Below is a video showing an Overview on their new site design I made for my YouTube:

What's on my iPad v1

The App Store has recently passed the 10 billion download milestone. To me that's a very great achievement. But a few people still might be wondering what are some good apps for my iPad. Well in this video, that's exactly what I will show. The applications in this post are applications I use on my iPad daily. Hopefully you will find a few good applications for your iPad. But, you could also get in on this by leaving recommendations in the comments for applications I should get. Hope you enjoyed my post.
